The meeting started at 6:00 pm

1. The group treasurer reported on the current balance in the project account and offered a breakdown of all items purchased this year with funds from the treasury. Distributed copies to members. It was noted that the accounting of expenses will be posted on the group website in the future

a. Also noted that future projects will have an assigned budget and if the budget needs to be increased it will need to go to a vote.

2. Mary gave an update on the “Big Chair” project. The chair is completed and will be placed in the park location after the Independence Day parade on July 1st
3. Jena reported that the planters have all been placed appropriately as well as the hanging baskets
4. Rosemarie reported on the status of the T-Mobile Hometown Grant project. Also requested help from members in obtaining letters from village representatives. Offer from Lindsey to help. An outline for the grant plan will be posted on the website. Out and Rosemarie will e-mail more on the subject. Plan a future meet-up to discuss this.
5. On Independence Day Parade discussed there will be 2 floats. One float will be the watering truck and the second will be the Big Chair before placement in the park
6. Update was given on the “Painting the Bridge” project.
7. Discussion on the upcoming Harvest Festival that will be held on September 21st. Request for volunteers
8. Announcement that since there have been requests for better communication, the meeting minutes will be posted on the bulletin board at the Savings Bank in Garden and on the group’s website
